Van Hall was elected to the Board in May 2010.  He and his wife, Donna have 2 children that attend HSISD, Hayden and Hunter.

John Willis, President of the Board. First elected to the Board in May 2001. Mr. Willis works at TXU's Monticello Plant. He is married to Sandra and has two children, John and Nicole, in the Hughes Springs school system.

Stephen McKinney, Secretary of the Board. Elected to the Board in 1996. Mr. McKinney is in retail fast food. He is married to Jenny and they have three children, Chris, who is working on his Masters in Business at LeTourneau University and is a Line Supervisor at Pilgrim, Cara, a student at Ouachita Baptist University, and Clay, a student in HSHS.

Keith Wellborn was elected to the Board of Trustees in 1999. He is employed at T & N, is married to Wendy and has two children, Brandon and Kelsey.

Kay Wallace was elected to the Board in 2002. Mrs. Wallace retired as a math teacher at Hughes Springs High School. She is married to Johnny and they have three children and six grandchildren.

Rick Nelson was elected to the Board in 2005. Mr. Nelson is the manager of a local car dealership and is married to Amy. They have two daughters who are HSISD students, Payton and Logan.

Bill Lindsey, Vice President of the Board was elected to the board in May of 2007. He has lived in Hughes Springs since 1999 and is Vice President of the First National Bank of Hughes Springs. He is married to Ginnifer and they have two children who are HSISD students, Ryan and Carter.
