HSISD is eligible for a federal grant, ESSER III (Elementary and Secondary Schools Emergency Recovery) which has numerous requirements that must be met by the school district.

One mandatory requirement is for our district to solicit public comment/input. For us to accomplish this task effectively and expeditiously, a survey has been created to allow parents and community members to provide their suggestions on how to expend these federal funds within grant guidelines to meet the needs of all students during the COVID-19 pandemic.

HSISD will have until September 2024 to expend ESSER III funds. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s campus principal.
